A mask of plastic happiness often covers our sadness
Our beliefs hidden from most
Afraid of, but willing to face the unknown
Wondering where our place is in this life
It has come close to sharing themselves
Never completely revealing anything to anyone
Feelings of invisible chains corner them
When our dreams, reality shatters before our very eyes
Accomplishments we strives for just at hands grasp
It feels lost sometimes, not yet finding our notch in this world
At times the glimmer in our calm eyes slowly disappears
But within our heart a silent flame burns our insides and out
It roams day by day, playing roles
Strength unknowingly resides in us
History repeats itself once again
The translucent veil we so proudly wear
Little by little answers will come, pushing it aside
One day there will be no more mask for us to wear
One day our beliefs will be known
One day we'll know our place in this life
One day we will share them
ONE DAY this mask will be NO MORE
