There are two things I didn't find out until pretty recently that I want to share
1) When you were dead in your sin and of no use to God, He asked His son to die
willingly for you. There is nothing you can do to make God love you more, and
nothing you can do to make God love you less. You could be the image of
hopelessness in your own eyes or the eyes of others, and I can say with certainty
absolute that Jesus would have chosen to die if it only helped you. If it was
for you alone, He would have still taken the beam of his cross up the hill and laid
himself upon it. Not out of a sense of duty, or guilt. But because he loves you.
And he says "You're worth it to me."
*Edit. Here's a song if you're interested.
2) God doesn't need you and He doesn't need me. His work will go on with or without
me/you. He doesn't need to work through me/you at all... Its a little bit of a
downer to find out that God doesn't need my help and he doesn't need me. At the same
time there's freedom in it. I don't have to feel like I am the only one who can help
this other person because the truth is I'm not necessary. If you read my other most
recent diary this goes right into loosening your grip on that handful of sand. If it
falls out of your hand, it doesn't go onto the floor, it goes into another person's
hand. Ha, and there isn't a floor at all I think. I think beneath all of our hands
is God's hand, and he doesn't drop a single grain. So another person's salvation
does not hinge on me saying the right thing at the right time or if I don't then
they're doomed. I didn't know I felt that way, and I didn't know how hard I was
trying to cling onto some precious sand until I realized I could let go. While God
doesn't need you, He wants you. You.
God loves to use His servants to fulfill His good plans. "God uses the weak to lead
the strong" because its not about me or you, its not about our strength or knowledge,
God can use an imperfect tool like me perfectly.
I hope this was short enough. If you have any questions or anything to say, please
comment or send a message. Thank you for reading and I hope your have a really good
