It's dark. Can only see a few inches ahead of me. I feel the
sudden jolt of chill run down my back as I hear footsteps walking past me.
The footsteps are dragging something.
An alive something.
My Knees begin to wobble. It doesn't feel right standing there... But I
I hear a sudden movement from the object being dragged. I hear struggling.
I hear quick breathing. I hear a sudden clank.
Is it Wooden? No. No it's... It's Metal. It was banged against the wall
near me since I can now feel a vibration run against my arm that touches that very
There it is. That chill once more.
It can only feel cold as the rain begins to pour down the scene. One second
it was dry... now it was pouring.
My hair and clothes become soaked with the ice water. I shiver now, not
because of the fear but because of the sudden change of temperature.
I hear a blunt smack sound with a muffled scream to follow it. My feet took
a silent step forward. I heard a soft rumble in the sky.
Suddenly, I had a new fear.
If a rumble was in the sky, that means it was caused by lightning.
Lightning lights up everything in front of us.
The new fear of seeing what really laid ahead made me freeze with sudden
stillness. Should I run? Forget everything I heard, hoping it would never haunt me
again? My feet stayed where they were. My body rejected me leaving. My body had the
bravery, my mind had fear, I was torn.
Out of the top of my eye I could see a faint light, and a roar of thunder
crashed suddenly. It was near.
The wind picked up; I felt myself pull my hair back from my face, I heard
the cry of a girl in front of me, I heard whimpering of a estranged man.
I saw everything in one second.
The velvet red liquid upon the cobblestone flooring.
The violet-blue eyes of a girl who gave her all and died.
The cold smile upon a blood drenched face.
The unfeeling walls around me.
I saw everything in that one second.
