Topic: all in one colour
I looked around and saw all three of these, all beautiful in their own
grotesque way. I walked into the room and immediately felt as if I was one of the
extremely mottled pack that was made up of both alive and dead alike.
"Kat!" I heard a rumbling voice boom from over near the snack bar, and I turned to
see a hulking man with hands that could palm a basketball, gesturing for me to walk
I nervously shifted through the crowd of creatures, whom all stared at me as if
I was an alien. Finally, after walking for what seemed an eternity, I reached him.
"They told me to keep an eye out for you," he said. "I'm Alexander."
"Oh!" I gasped, instantly straightening up and correcting my posture. "You're the one
that helped me get here, correct?"
"Indeed," he said with the slightest bit of a British accent, "I'm the one that
talked to them about recruiting you. They're waiting for you over there."
He motioned slightly to the far corner of the room, where a group of
particularly morbid-looking teenagers were hunched over in a circle, whispering
urgently to each other with a look of worry slapped upon each of their faces. I began
a quick stride towards them.
When I made it through the crowd, they all turned their heads simultaneously to
look at me with stony gazes.
"...So," the tallest one, a thin, wiry man of Asian descent said in a dark voice,
"You've come to join us, I take it."
"Yes," I said quietly. All the black was pressing on my eyes; there was no other
color in the entire atmosphere except for the pallid faces of the people before me.
"A bit scrawny," a very-scrawny-herself woman commented, glaring my way, "But she'll
do. We need someone to replace Jess anyway."
I gulped. Jess had actually been one of my friends, before that whole weed-whacker
incident a couple days ago.
"Fine. You're in," Mr. Thin n' Wiry nodded, holding his hand out to shake. I took it;
I was finally into the group.
"...Now," the girl said, smirking, "For initiation."
