Okay, so I've been deliberating about this for a while now. And recently a whole host
of problems has come to my attention regarding my hair - a) it's extremely tangly, b)
it takes and awfully long time to brush and c) I like having my hair loose for school
and with it like this it's impossible. And I've decided that the best course of
action to take is to cut it to my chin.
Now, yeah, you're all thinking that this isn't a big deal. Well, dudes, this'll be a
big step for me. I've always had long hair - the shortest it has ever been is to the
middle of my back, and when I got that cut I cried and my mother cried. Yeah, I'm a
The way it is now, my hair reaches my waist and falls in waves. It takes three
bottles of hair dye to give it a visible change in colour. It takes ten minutes to
brush (Just brush) and almost an hour to comb. It's a hindrance, quite frankly.
Now, here's the problem. I'm certain that cutting my hair will result in general
ugliness of my face. I'm not entirely sure whether a short, wavy cut would suit me.
Also, people who don't have straight hair tend to get picked on a lot in my school.
But that's not important. The important thing is that if I don't get this haircut I
fear I'll never be able to cut my hair. I'm already extremely attached to it.
Yeah, hopefully my hair being cut would result in a head of short curls. I'm also
hoping to get a fringe with this cut, to be honest! I've always wanted a fringe, but
. . . erm, circumstances have presented it. That would be my total inability to step
foot into a hairdressers.
I can't actually find a picture of the way my hair will go.
So, what do you think?
Should I stick with the long, dark, usually-in-a-plait hair that people have come to
identify me with? Or should I cut it short and see what I look like. Your opinions
are valued, dudes!
