CHAPTER 3: The Speech
"Students, I would like to introduce a new student." Dumbeldore said, "Charlette
Goode, please come up."
Charlette didn't like all this extra attention, but she couldnt refuse. She sat alll
the way in the back of the Main Hall so it took a while to get up there. With every
step, she felt her face burn up. With every sound she made, she saw another pair of
eyes looking at her. So she just kept her head down and kept on walking. After a
while and when she was still not up there, she got so fustrated she broke into a
little jog. "No running in the Main Hall!" a stern voice said. People laughed, and
she looked up and saw that it was Professor Snape's, so she didn't even try to argue.
finally she got up there, but Dumbeldore moved away from his podium, motioning her to
make a speech.
She stood at the podium, and froze at the sight of all the students looking at her.
"Umm... I didn't really plan a speech or anything... so.. -"she started, but was
inturrupted by a paper airplane-bird thing (like in the 5th harry potter movie)
smacking her on the head. "OW!" she yelled, but opened up the parchment anyway. It
was a mini-speech someone had quickly written for her. She read it quickly, and
looked up, and saw the impatient eyes of all the students looking at her. "Umm.." she
started, and she read the parchment aloud. While she was reading, she saw a girl
sitting at one of the tables, smiling at her with a thumbs-up.
