This is for science. I have to do a report and I need to work on it more but
I'm not on the right computer so I'm doing it on this ^_^ I'll make it better once
I'm on the right computer!
The gas giant, Jupiter, is the the largest of both the inner and outer planets. It is
able to fit 1400 Earths inside and is 318 times the mass! Being about 500 million
miles away from the Sun and 365 million from Earth, it's rotation takes 10 hours
while it's revolution takes 12 years! And, surprise! It's the closest Gas Giant to
Jupiter has tan bands going across the surface, made mostly of hydrogen gas. So
technically, it's atmosphere has a swritling belt pattern. There is no proper
surface. The main landscape is the Great Red Spot, a huge hurricane that can hold up
to two whole Earths!
There is no hope of life on this planet! None of the land is permament and the
atmosphere goes on what almost seems forever! And the gravity is so great, it be hard
to bounce a basket ball.
There are many opinions on how many satellites there are surrounding the "King of the
Planets." The highest seen so far is around 60. Ganymede is the largest moon of
these. It is a large, icy, outer moon. It was also discovered that Jupiter has a
faint dust ring. Many astomoners say that it's probably the remains that were ripped
apart from getting too close to the Mighty Jupiter!
