A blanket of shadows fall on his face, trying to hide his murky grin, I feel a chill
run across my skin like a slithering snake dancing across a lake of sin. He emerges
out of the light. An old man stands in front of me with his face full of craze he
takes a breath, stops smiling, but slowly walks away. I tell him to wait but he just
keeps moving so I scurry after him. I grab his shoulder and take a good look at him.
His face is worn and gray, deep creases cover his face like spider webs running cheek
to cheek, he is very old maybe seventy five, and his clothes are all tattered and
dwelling on his skin like a leech sort of becoming part of him. I ask him if he’s
okay and he says he’s fine, I ask again and he says please just leave me alone. I
let him go even though it’s tough. I watch his fragile body drift away and I leave
for home.
