(No way this is entry is a literary work of art. It's just random thoughts that
resembles coherant thought)
I went to an... art/fantasy/scifi/music/media party-convention over the weekend.
Art? Yeah, you guys did noticed that I sketch oekaki on here, right?
Wen night, i had food poisoning and threw up...I'd spent hours napping on the floor
near the door of the bathroom incase I needed to throw up again. This was the night
before leaving for the event. XD *sigh* bad omen? Thu, intended to leave before
noon....but end up leaving around 4pm and arriving at the event after 9pm.
The panels and workshop for this event....they were disappointing. They were ill
organized, the depth of the education was shallow as a thimbal of water. All the
'hard core' information weren't. I was left wanting. Total waste of time this
I didn't make it to any of the musical concert... Mell, Becca nor anything else. I
didn't make it to the costume contest.
Over all, the event was enjoyable but nothing that shook me to the core with
excitment and amusement.
After the event, Sun, we hung out. Unlike most attendees who leave Sun
afternoon/evening, we opted to stay an extra day to re-coup before the trip home.
It's safer this way...I can't imagine dying due to traffic accident caused by
The most interesting moment of the weekend was after the convention. Those of us
that stayed on had made it a tradition to hang out at Barns and Nobel book store when
the con closed. There, I met three crazy English people (2 girls and a guy).
Apparently, they came to America just for the convention.
I spent the next hour talking to this group and listening to their accent. Their
slangs, expression and calloquial (sp?) was amazing.
Today, Tue 5pm.... recovering from the trip.
Note to self: must make a trip to England and hang out with my artist friends.
