Zora sat for 2 hours going over all the history. When they were finished Zora was
"So did i pass?"Zora asked excited.
"Yes you did very well." Luna said and laughed when her daughter jumped up and
spun in circles chasing her tail. She caught it and stopped and spotted Ezra standing
a little was off. She dropped her tail and bouncing up and down went to him.
"I passed my first test." She said. Her ears were perked forward and her tail
was all fluffed out and her eyes shined. He couldn't say anything. He just stared at
her. "Whats wrong?" she asked.
"Your father wants you now he's over there." his voice was curt and stung just
Zora realized he was staring at her and mistook it for anger. Slowly her ears
eased backwards and her tail dropped. Her eyes didn't shine anymore. Without a word
she ran off toward her dad.
"Zora good your here." Ike said he nudged a snow rabbit at her. "Eat quickly. I
think there is going to be a storm tonight. "The winds had kicked up. She ate and
followed her father.
"OK i have sent several wolves out to watch you. Catch as much pray as you can.
Leave it in piles at the base of trees. They will pick them up. Ill be following you
as well watching how well you do. You have till sundown.
Zora stood still and listened for small animals scurrying about in the under
brush. She tried and concentrate but Ezra pushed his way into her mind. What was she
going to do now. Ezra was mad at her for some reason and she didn't know. Sighing she
pushed him out again and pounced on the small mouse that darted past. She caught it
and set it on a pile that was already getting big.
Might as well move onto the next area. Zora picked her way through the woods and
stopped when she heard something big in the bush. Dropping down into a crouch she
A fat white rabbit stuck his nose out and sniffed. Zora was down wind from him
so he didn't smell her. He hopped out and a stick under Zora's foot snapped. He ran.
Zora took off after him. She was not losing that big rabbit. She jumped over
stuff and dodged overgrown bush branches.
She skidded to a halt when the rabbit darted into a hole. Swearing she stopped
to catch her breath. Something was different. It didn't smell like their territory.
Zora sat and thought for a moment and when it hit her it was to late to get away.
Once again she was circled by wolves. But these werent from her own pack. These were
Shadow pack wolves.
