No I did NOT run out of jokes... I've been busy and I forgot about my commitment
(Behold my lack of self- discipline!) to post a joke a day....
Once there were three sisters living in a small house. The oldest was 74, the
youngest was 68, and the middle one was 71.
One early spring morning, the three sisters were sitting around their kitchen table
drinking coffee. It was a lovely day outside: the sun was shining, fluffy white
clouds scudded across the sky, and a cool breeze ruffled the new leaves on the trees.
The oldest sister swallowed the last of her coffee and got up. "I'm going to open a
few windows upstairs," she said. "It's always nice to have some fresh air in the
house." So she started up the stairs. Halfway up, she stopped. "Was I going up or
coming down?" she called back to her younger siblings. The younger sisters simply
heaved exasperated sighs.
The second oldest stood up and collected the now empty mugs. She carried them over to
the dishwasher and was about to put them in when she stopped. "Was I putting these
mugs into the dishwasher or taking them out?" she asked the remaining sister.
"I hope I don't grow as old and forgetful as them," the youngest muttered to herself,
knocking on the table to emphasize her point. Then she stood up and said,
