I posted this as one of my earlier Luka videos. Everybody thinks she's a stalker, but
oh well, they enjoy it.
So I'm just minding my business, y'know, tralala, and suddenly I get this comment.
They're referring to the title. I called it "Lost Woods" Instead of Saria's Song.
The conversation follows as this.
Bold = me
italic = him
"Saria's song"They're the same song. It goes by either title.
Besides, the background music when I downloaded it was called ''Lost Woods'' so I
felt no need to change it.No they're not. The Lost Woods theme sounds completely different than Saria's
Song.Have you even played the game? Saria's song is the melody you learn from Saria.
Lost Woods takes that melody and integrates it into the background music. So,
they're basically the same song.
How exactly do you hear Saria's song and Lost Woods being completely different
songs?Have you actually played a Zelda game that wasn't as overrated as OoT or
The Lost Woods theme only plays in ALTTP, it's also implied that the music playing in
The Lost Woods in OoT is Saria playing her song.Actually, yes, I own the original Zelda and ALTTP on virtual console.
Well, I'm just going by what's the norm. When people refer to the Lost Woods song,
they're usually referring to Saria's song.
Besides, if I change it now, I'll have a big fat ugly annotation on the title in the
video covering over "Lost Woods."
Also, the song plays when Link is an adult, and even though my memory isn't that good
of the game, wasn't Saria gone from the Lost Woods when Link is an adult?
People refer to the song as "The Lost Woods Theme" because of either ignorance or
laziness, in this case both.
If you've actually done research on OoT and followed its history you'd know that it
wasn't originally planned for a cartridge and since the 64DD didn't go so well,
Nintendo scrapped half of it just enough to fit everything on a cart. That my
friend would mean that there's obviously not enough room for anymore music incase you
haven't noticed to begin with.
I JUST WANTED TO POST A VOCALOID COVER.
I didn't mean to ask for a history lesson.
Look, whether it's technically correct or not, I don't really care, I just gave it
the name that people refer to it by.
Besides, one could argue the same about Hyrule Field. I've heard several versions of
it throughout the years, yet I've heard them all be called by the same name.Don't get so angry, I just wanted to have a little fun with you.
Oh and those are called "remixes".Yeah well, I don't like people who comment on my videos and act all smart just to
prove something right. Sorry, but that's just me.
And I don't mean remixes. I mean different games. There's the OoT Hyrule Field theme
and the TP Hyrule Field theme. I know that the one for TP often goes by another name,
but I still find it confusing.Yeah well, I'm just one of those people that can't stand seeing something WRONG
ON THE INTERNET.
Anyway, those are remixes sweetie or you could consider them remastered versions,
either way they still sound alike to the point that you know it's still Hyrule
Field's theme.Well, it's the internet. There's bound to be some misinformation. It's not like
you're any more perfect than anyone else on here.
Well, if you listen to the two versions I mentioned back-to-back, they really DON'T
sound that alike, that's just it.
Gosh I hate YouTubers sometimes. WHO CARES IF THE TITLE ISN'T TECHNICALLY CORRECT.
*Punches the closest thing to her*
