Finally today in black and white photography class I managed to get two decent
pictures developed. XD
I know that sounds kind of dumb to be excited about... but trust me.
The process is frustrating. First of course you take the picture... which is not as
easy as you may think, if you are used to digital cameras...
Cause we use manual cameras with the lenses and what not. Shutter speed...
aperture... so forth.
And then you have to develop the film... which is a LONG and BORING process which is
also not very easy.
Cause you have to, in complete darkness, take the film out of the roll, roll it onto
a spool, stick it in a canister, and screw the lid on.
NOT that easy. At least not when you can't see anything...
And then you got to pour chemicals into the canister and shake it every so often and
all that jazz.
AND THEN you got to develop your actual pictures using what is called an enlarger.
Which is pretty freaking cool, if I do say so, but so freaking frustrating.
Cause you got to turn on the light for the exact amount of time you need to shine it
on the photo paper...
and then you got to develop the photo paper...
So I did that like twenty times with suckish results for like four days...
So you can see why I'm excited about this, right?
