"Who needs to get high?"
Was the question that night.

From the racing feelings
That I had been feeling...
Who needed drugs
When I could feel this good?

Flashing lights around the sky
A beat
(Such a pounding, heavy base)
Slamming on my ears.

My feet are bouncing
Up and down, higher, higher,
Shaking like
A Polaroid Picture
(At least,
That's what the song said)

My friends all dancing
Like there's no tomorrow,
And rocking out
We're finally together now;
We've let ourselves go.

Bodies all around me;
Pressing up against me;
Surrounded by so many men
(Sexy men ^.^)
I'm asking
For numbers

DJ keeps on blasting out
These rhythm-eating songs.
Sit down?

Hell no.

We dance the whole night long.

I'll never quite regret tonight

It's like a perfect memory.
No single dark feeling to stray me
From my path again.
I felt so whole, I felt complete;
Like maybe life wasn't so bad.
I wish that every night could be
As magical as this.

Going home sucked.

I collapsed on my bed.

Heels still on, dress still on,
Purse, makeup, and flower in hand,

Feel my eyes collapse as if
I hadn't slept in years.

I dreamt so well that night...
