At school today, we had a mini protest. Nothing big, just my grade group (7th and
8th grade, 21 people all together) being bothered by something.

So, today, we celebrated Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and Barack Obama. My grade did a
little piece that followed this format:
Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. part:
I have a dream that one day our nation __________.
I have a dream that one day __________.
I have a dream that one day I will __________.

Barack Obama part:
Yes our nation can __________.
Yes we can __________.
Yes I can __________.

We Shall Overcome song:
We shall overcome __________.

Every Friday we have to write these stupid Weekly Report things. We're just saying
what we've done this week in a report. My advisory has to write a full essay on it.
None of the kids like it, and we all feel like it's a waste of time. All 20ish of us.
It's not like any of us have a bad relationship with our parents, anyway. So we all
went around and protested it, taking the format from Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and
Barack Obama. Some of the quotes were:
We shall overcome weekly reports.
Yes we can stop weekly reports.
I have a dream... And it doesn't involve weekly reports.
I have a dream that one day weekly reports won't exist.
Little did they know, but the teachers brought this upon themselves. We even made a
petition that we all signed. It was started by my advisory (6 people), and everybody
joined in. It was fun!
