The fox and the cat prolougeCategory: Story

Misty, the fox was walking back to the den after another day. Her golden tail had a
slight glow to it from the last bit of sunlight peaking over the horizon as she
trotted over the hill, the black cat Twighlight following. "It's been so long...
Since someone petted me. Someone... Somone NOTICED me," Misty said to herself
repeatedly. Then, she had a a flashback of her owner... Or at least, her former
owner. Twighlight ignored this, as it was normal.
The two arrived at the den right as the last bit of sun fell down into the
horizon, and the darkness had covered the sky in a sheet-like way. The den was
actually a small cove in the woods, very close to town. Misty stared into
nothingness. All she longed for was her owner, Kachina. Her previous native-american
owner. And as the crickets chirped that warm, summer evening, she remembered the warm
summers she spent hunting with Kachina. She had not lost hope that Kachina would come
back, so day after day, she took twighlight to town, in a search for her owner and to
grab a meal. Will I spend my whole life searching she thought to herself.
She watched her reflection in the cold blue water of the stream and asked herself
this question several times. And decided the search would continue.
Kachina... she thought to herslef, I WILL find you.
