Gemma was in a particularly good mood today, it was a bank holiday. Ever since she
met Natasha she had walked the 2 mile distance with a spring in her step. Natasha was
her best friend that had come in as a new student. Gemma hummed her way to Natasha's
house. When she got there she didn't need to knock. The Openshaw family considered
her as welcome. The truth was that was the only place she belonged.
"It's me!" she called upstairs as she kicked her shoes eagerly off. When she got
upstairs she was greeted by Donna, Natasha's mum. Gemma looked at her questioningly.
"She's in her room." Donna sighed. "Only place she ever is." Gemma nodded and walked
upstairs. Gemma was by all means jealous of Natasha. Her room had a mini fridge,
water dispenser, seperate phone line and a HUGE plasma screen.
"Still hooked on your window sized tv?" Gemma joked as she sat on a saggy old bean
"Gemma can you beleive this?" Natasha squeeled.
"The new theatre is finished and they are holding auditions for dancers!"
"NO WAY! We have to go!"
Without a second thought the two excited girls packed their bags and tied their hair.
Brilliant! Donna was happy to drive them up there. Gemma read over the script
nervously. "Um Gemma? We are dancers!" Natasha said.
"The lyrics are so amizingly eazy!" Gemma sighed. She never had the guts to sing and
needed a good old push that no one would give her.
"They are so complex!"
The car holted to a screech. They were there.
