When the word "coffee" is mentioned what comes first in your mind? Oh if you'd care
to ask me well, i might say "starbucks". xD
Today has been a very busy day for me. And I just wanna share something to you. Uhmm
, they say that most people are addicted to coffee (though I'm not). Well, it's a
truth mostly to adults. I just don't get why. I don't find it tasty or something. I
just love anything sweet.
anyways, let's go back to the main topic. I had found out that coffe has it's own
story. So are you ready??
Once upon a time, coffe was forbidden by priests because they think that it's "drink
of the devil". They also say that it can make someone go nuts (since they don't still
know the effects of caffeine). They also stated that coffee was the beverage of
atheists or Anti-Christ. Until finally in some year like 1500s. Pope Clement VII
studied and tried to drink the very controversial drink.
You know what? I thought he found it "delicious" 'cause he then decided to allow
everyone to drink it. He also told everyone that coffee isn't sinful.
I never thought that coffee has it's religious history too.
