I love them, but they drive me fucking insane.
We did alot of shopping. I got lotsa stuff. My brother came this time. It was fine, I
guess, when he was there, other than the fact that they didn't really pay much
attention to me. Which was sort of appreciated. I don't require alot of attention.
What I don't like is the reason why they all but ignored me. They like Cameron more
than they like me. I can tell, for one, by the way they talked about him after we
dropped him off. "That boy, is so lovely. So pleasant, agreeable, talented, blah
blah, Cameron is awesome!" And the way they avoid giving me compliments, like when my
mom would say "You look nice, Paige," They'd immediately change the subject. Or
instead of saying something looked good on me, they'd say, "Well, I guess it doesn't
But mostly because of the way they jumped at me the first time Cameron and I
You see, Cameron is so religious, so GOOD, so well-behaved and brought up to believe
every word the bible says and nothing other, never to even think about other
possibilities. He's my brother, and I love him, he's great, but sometimes I can't
help feeling like he's ignorant, blinded.
He spent the entire fucking time we were in Half-Price Books in the religion section.
Didn't bother me until we were at the register, looking at each other's books, and he
picked one of mine up on gender studies, about sex changes, and said, "That's weird."
"Why?" I asked him. And so began the discussion, in which I stated that people are
born homosexual, and that occasionally people are born with the feeling that they
should be another gender.
He said, and I quote, "Whatever you're born as, God obviously intended you to be.
It's a choice."
And just as I was about to tear him a new one, I was SCOLDED by my grandfather.
"Paige, you shouldn't argue so much, blah blah, impolite, blah blah, manners, blah,
blah, proper lady."
Saw girl with the dragon tattoo today. I really liked it.
She had a shirt that said, "Fuck you, you fucking fuck." I'm gonna get one of those.
