Tess tried to speek, but she couldnt. She couldnt think of what to say,
nor did she think she had the strength to say anything anyway. When the words did
come to her, finally, there was no holding them back. They echoed loud and clear,
"Holy shit!" (sorry about the curse. i felt it just needed to be said. again sorry,
i hate cursing)
Tess stared blankely. The boy with the green eyes was the first to speak.
"Tess, there are things you need to know. Oh, and sorry about your window." Tess
looked up to meet his eyes. She swallowed hard. "Austin what are you doing here?"
Austin didnt answer Tess' question. Instead he reached down for her hand. A
worried look crossed his face. "Tess we have to go." Austin stood up swiftly. Tess
looked up at him. His dirty blond hair was shinning from the sunlight. He was wearing
his everyday attire, jeans and a dark colored sweater. Tess bit her lip and looked
away. There had to be a good reason for him to be here. On a normal day, he wouldnt
even look in her direction.
"Why are you here? You...you...why!?" Tess stood up slowly. Austin was
already halfway out of the window. "Austin! I am not going anywhere until you tell me
why you are here!" Tess crossed her arms infront of her chest, "I'm not going
anywhere." Austin looked back at Tess, annoyed. He climbed back into the room and
walked over to where Tess stood.
Austin slid his arm around Tess' waist quickly. He pulled her up against
his body. Austin moved toward the window. Before Tess could protest, she was outside
her house, still in Austins grip.
Tess didnt speak. She didnt know what to say. Seconds ago she had been
sitting in her room and now she was flying trough the town with a boy that she barly
Tess' head was still spinning when Austin came to a sudden hault and
dropped her. She fell lifelessly to the ground. They were now in what looked like a
treefilled forest. Tess sat up and looked around. Austin didnt linger near her. He
walked swiftly toward a large stone wall, leaving Tess by herself.
Wind brushed across Tess' face. She stood up quickly and ran to where
Austin was. Just as she stepped beside Austin, the stone wall opened, revealing a
dimly lit cave. Austin walked into the cave without the slightest of aknowledgement
that Tess was even there. Tess followed him cautiously, without a word.
The second Tess stepped into the cave, lights flickered on. The inside of
the cave was amazing. It was lavisly decorated with the finest furniture and had the
lovelyest scent Tess had ever smelled. Austin looked at Tess, taking in a deep
"Have you ever wondered what it would be like to controll time?"
