Crabby and Angie-The FishNapper
Crabby and Angie were two preschoolers who lived at the beach. They had fun playing
together every day. Crabby was a 3 year old crab and Angie was a 3 year old
angelfish. They became friends on the first day of preschool-August 4th, 2007. Since
then, they have been writing letters to each other and have been playing after
school. They always had fun.
One day, Angie didn't appear at preschool. Crabby wondered why. He went to his
mailbox after school and found a letter. It wasn't Angie's handwriting. It was
someone else's. He read it to himself the best he could. Here's the note:
Are you missing your Angie? Well, I have her in my lair. You can't find me!
Crabby pinched the note. “Angie has been fishnapped!” he said to himself. He ran
to his parents and showed them the note. They were breathless and ran to their rooms
and shut their doors. Crabby peered into the sea and went out. He trashed the letter.
Then he walked to the ocean and went in. It was scary being in the ocean alone. He
walked in deeper. Then he heard some evil laughter.
“Muahaha! You'll never be saved now you pathetic beauty!” It was the FishNapper.
Crabby could just make out the outline of the lair. He walked closer and heard Angie
“GET OUT! WAAAAAAH!!!!!!!” she sobbed.
Crabby walked to the lair and peered in through a small hole at his eye level. He saw
what the FishNapper exactly looked like-a 6 foot purple octopus with mean eyes and an
evil, poisonous mouth-you could tell it was poisonous because it was red with green
and purple dots all over it-that's how poison looked like at the beach where Angie
and Crabby lived.
Crabby looked around. He saw some seaweed cut off. Some had notes on them. Crabby
looked at the lair. No windows at all. He cautiously walked over to the seaweed with
the notes on them. The notes all said the exact same thing in type: Fishnappers are
afraid of crabs with seaweed. Crabby pinched the seaweed. They didn't cut. He took
enough seaweed to fill up his pinchers and peered through another hole. Then, he
burst through the door and used his seaweed as hammers and attacked The FishNapper.
The FishNapper screamed, “HOLY SEAWEED! I GOTTA GET OUT OF HERE!” And with that,
he swam away.
Crabby, still pinching the seaweed, walked over to Angie and motioned with his
pinchers to get out of the lair. They got out, and Angie said to Crabby, “Thanks
Crabby! You were courage! (she meant brave)”
“You are no problem,” he replied. (he meant you're welcome) And with that, they
After they got home, they both talked with their parents about what had happened that
day. Then, they both had dinner, brushed their teeth and went to bed.
