Konerak Sinthasomphone (December 1, 1976 – May 27, 1991) was a Laotian American
boy, who became well-known as the 13th victim of the serial killer Jeffrey Dahmer. He
was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.
Two young women called the police, when they saw Sinthasomphone running naked and
bleeding in the street.
Sinthasomphone did not speak English well and was unable to explain what Dahmer had
done to him. The women, Sandra Smith and Nicole Childress (both 1 said a long,
white man was stalking Sinthasomphone. Dahmer had also followed the boy into the
Dahmer claimed Sinthasomphone was his 19-year-old boyfriend. The police decided to
believe him and sent the boy back to Dahmer's.
After Dahmer and Sinthasomphone were left alone, the boy was strangled, sexually
abused and then dismembered.
Dahmer was convicted in January 1989. Dahmer received 15 life sentences in Wisconsin,
where the murders had taken place. He was later murdered in prison.
