My first song is called "She Will Be Loved" by Maroon 5. I chose this song because a
few years back i was going through a hard time with my family and trying hard to fit
in with a new crowd after moving from Newfoundland. I had no one to turn to, so i
would turn my music up with headphones in and listen to this song. This song is about
the lead singer who is trying to show a young girl that she is important to someone
and no matter what she goes through in her life, he will always be there for her,
whether she wants him to or not. I like alot of Maroon 5 songs because alot of their
songs is touching and if your going through love troubles, their music seems to fit
that scheme.

My next selection is "In The Ayer" by Flo-Rida and Will.i.Am. This song brings back a
very good memory from last summer. My friend and I were in my kitchen waiting for
pizza we had just ordered. Our clothing was a little trampy, and we started dancing
to this song. We were getting into it, when the pizza guy knocked on the door. We
didn't realize also that my living room window was wide open. After the pizza guy
left we burst into laughter from beign embarrassed. The song itself is about how your
favourite song can make you want to dance all night long. Its a very upbeat song,
which is one of the reasons why i like it so much. You just want to move when you
hear it, and when i hear it, i can't help but smile, because that same memory always
comes to mind.

The next song I chose was "I Kissed a Girl" by Katy Perry. This song is very
important to me because its my best friends' song. On her 13th birthday, she played
this song in her parents car, and she and i sang it at the top of our lungs on our
way home from a resturant. This song is about experimenting and trying new things, no
matter how crazy or abnormal it may seem. The tempo and beat of this song is faster,
so it makes a great song to just jam out to.

This song is callled "Shake It" by Metro Station. I chose this song because its very
upbeat, and it brings back memories from the summer of 2008. That was the summer i
met many of the friends i have today, and the good times we had. Metro Station writes
alot of music just about growing up and being a teenager, and how music can affect
your life. I particularly like this song because of the lyrics. I tried to teach my
sister the proper lyrics and it took her about 2 hours to get it down. When i play
this song, its like a movie plays in my mind, with all the amazing times my friends
and I had that summer. Its a great song played by a great band.

My final song I chose is "Old School" by Hedley. I like alot of Hedley's music
because thesongs they sing are very catchy. They seem to get stuck in your head, even
if you never heard the song before in your life. I picked this song because of my
friends from Turcotte, where alot of us go to different schools now, or are in
different classes, we dont see each other as much as we used to. Especially after
being in the same class with the same people for 3 years. This song is about getting
your old classmates together and reminiscing on the times you had back then. I love
this song because it would be fun to have a class reunion kind of thing and just
remember all the fun we used to have at Turcotte.
