My Country Tis of Thee. Sweet Land of LibertyCategory: (general)

I watched our new leader. Dignified and brave, he walked across the platform. I
watched our vice president be sworn in by a Supreme Court Justice of the supreme
court. I watched history write itself into out books. The orchestra played and the Us
Citizens watched in awe the new beginning for our country as well as for our people.
I continued to watch, knowing this wasn’t the leader that I would have chosen. My
ears caught every single word eache speaker spoke, even though I couldn’t quote or
reiterate it to you exactly.

And as the Justice swore our new President in ; just the words each man spoke brouht
tears to my eyes. And as our new President spoke I listened in amazement, unable to
tear my attention away for more then a few seconds.
The historic majesty of our first bi-racial President, our 44th President.

I cried slightly with the promises of a new horizon that he mad. He promised a better
tomorrow for myself,my generation and the generations to come. And as he spoke I
could not but to ask if one man could keep all the promises that he made. If he could
lead in bringing our country out of the ashes that we have so steadily fallen into.

I hope that he can keep the promises he had made. Not only for me, my class mates, my
school. But for the United States, and for the rest of the world.

God Bless President Obama
God Bless Vice President Biden
God Bless America

Hopefully the racist beliefs will end, and with that the hatred and animosity towards
the past Americans actions can be forced into the past. Like one man said during the
Inauguration ceremony; one day blacks, whites, people of all races will be able to
live in harmony, and actually have the equal opportunities and the equal support and
honor from the rest of the world.

I do hope there is another bi-racial President. Just like I wish some day their will
be an African American president, an asian president, a Hindu, Muslim and Jewish
president. Also I pray that in my life time or my childrens lifetimes that the US
will see female presidents, gay presidents and lesbian presidents.

We ARE a great country, and we will ALWAYS be great.
