a crow from the moonlit window sits, his head under his wing,
a dove from the sunlit forests of time now lifts his head to sing,
a magpie in its scraggly nest sleeps, with treasures he stole that day,
a raven with its pitch-black wings now steals the sun away.
a wolf with silver pelt looks up, his eyes like two small moons,
a rabbit with its long soft ears now senses its coming doom,
a squirrel whose tail waves to and fro that rustles through the trees,
a zephyr with its soothing calm now whistles through the leaves.
a boy and his faithful dog lay still, soothed by the sounds of night,
a girl with honey-blonde hair reads tales underneath the sun's bright light,
a man with a suitcase filled with work relaxes with the day,
and here am I, with a head full of tales, wasting my life away.
