They're all the same
Starting with a Kingdom or a village
with a name.
Princes, villains, princesses or witches
At times they can all be straight up bitches.
They all end with a "happily ever after"
As soon as it's finished with some horrible disaster.
But what about real life?
No princes here.
Yes, we all struggle and strife.
If we had some kind of hero
Wouldn't that be nice?
Too bad this isn't a tall tale
Where the hero always wins
And a new married couple's life begins
Where they're stuck with eachother until they're old and frail.
This isn't how it works.
We humans don't get all those fairytale perks!
We have to deal with what life throws at us
A wave of the wand can't change your relationship status!
Besides, we've got bigger problems than to worry about our spouses.
We've got to get things to furnish our houses with.
Then we've got to make money to keep our houses.
The money comes from buisnesses.
Fairytales are so forgotten
No one ever cares about this shit.
But no one really needs to.
All they really need to do
is forget this.
We often act like fairytales
Pretending everything's okay.
But daddy is off dating males
How can we tell mom that he's gay?
Don't you hate having to pretend?
Make believe everything's alright
So your real world doesn't break and bend?
And you're left crying all night.
We all have problems, we do.
Whether it's with me or with Jews.
So every now and then we must pretend
That we really don't have issues.
