GCSEs and the Zombie Apocalypse D:Category: (general)

Anyone not familiar with the English education system, when you get to the year where
you turn 16, you take these exams called GCSEs, standing for General Certificate of
Secondary Education. Everyone in the country is now required to take them... and you
have to take at least 5, I think?

Anyway, I've got my GCSEs next year (as that's when I turn 16), but, I'm taking my
French Higher GCSE a year early. Please shoot me now. Language GCSEs are split into
four parts: writing, reading, speaking and listening.

10am Thursday, 6th May 2010. The same day as our country's general election to decide
on our Prime Minister. Am I doomed?

Anyway, this exam.
I guess you could say I'm a little petrified. >3< Speaking is certainly not my
strongest, but I'm usually pretty good at it in French (not in Spanish and Chinese

I have to talk for 2 minutes on a subject of my choice, which I've pre-prepared.
Then, I have to answer 2 minutes of questions on that topic, which I haven't really
prepared for.
After, I have to answer 6 minutes worth of discussion questions, on a variety of
subjects, which I haven't prepared either.
Finally, I will be given a random role play upon arrival, and I'll have 20 minutes to
write notes; then, I have to have a conversation for 2 minutes. o_o

But, I've been a little sneaky.
I've written my presentation on the topic of cosplay (which, ya'll should know), and
it's such a obscure subject that my teacher will only have a limited number of
questions she can ask me about it, as she has no idea what the fuck it is.
And, I have written and practiced five potential questions that she'll probably ask.

The good news is that I've been predicted an A* in my French (that's the highest
grade possible FYI), but wish me luck please!~ Bonne chance, as they would say in
France. Hahaha.

Oh, and I'm still waiting in earnest for that Zombie Apocalypse to happen between now
and 10am tomorrow. I can always keep hoping, right?

Good luck then. :D
Wish you the very best. x

And don't worry, I have mine next Monday.
But mines is pretty different from yours.

I've only got 10 minutes to prepare for my role-play, I have to talk
for 1 minutes and a half about my work placement (teacher gave us the
topics) then answer 5 questions (teacher gave us the option to think
for our own, so we know what they are), and then i have to talk for
another 5 minutes based on the questions and answers, we have 6
topics, each topic have 20 questions each, and we are only ask 10-15
questions randomly, so in other words we have to learn 120 questions.

So I'm pretty much doomed as well. As I only learnt 3 topics at the
moment. xD

But i still wish you good luck for tomorrow.
You'll do fine.
