I lead my mom into the wand shop, I gazed at all the shelves covered with boxes that
i guessed had wands in them. An old looking man came to me and asked "Here to get
your first wand?" I nodded. "Me daughter ees going to ze Beauxbatons Academy!" my mom
said. The man smiled and walked over to some boxes. He cam back with a dusty blue
box, he opened it and handed me the wand. "Eleven and a half inches, female unicorn
hair, go ahead, try it out!" I swished the wand. A pillow exploded. "Okay, maybe
not..." said the man. Then he put that wand back and brought me another wand. "Ten
inches, Male unicorn hair, lets see..." Before i could do anything the tip of the
wand started to glow. I stared at it. The feathers from the pillow floated up and
then went back into the pillow. "cool" I whispered. My mom smiled and the man
walked over to the pillow and poked it. "That seems to be the wand for you, now, run
along, you mother will take care of everything else!" He smiled. "Yes, dear, go peeck
out a pet! Choose the most expensive one if you like it! We 'ave a lot of money! Go
on! Shoo!" My mom laughed I smiled and ran out the door. The pet shop was about a
block away. I ran to it as fast as i could. Once I got in i gasped. It was like a
heaven to me. There where cages full of every pet i could imagine! I looked at all of
them. But i only fell in love with one. A beautiful barn owl! I reached out to
fingers and stroked it's back. It hooted happily and swooped onto my shoulder. After
about 3 minutes my mom came in and saw me with the beautiful barn owl. "Get we get
'er mother? Please?" I begged. My mom made a noise between a sigh and a laugh. She
went to the counter and talked to s plump lady. She pulled out her bag and payed for
the wonderful owl. She also bought a sparkling silver cage, and a blue, silk cover.
We walked out and i was cooing my precious owl, and stroking her head as we walked
back to our car.
