I recently drew this on paint tool SAI, using a reference. I thought it might help
people on here using a similar program (Shi painter) to draw simple realism. I
realize that this isn't the best possible painting, but it was drawn with a mouse,
using patience and honest hard work. Enjoy.

was too large, and the last bit is the final touches anyway:
