Hannah Bond, My chemical Romance, The Black Parade and EmosCategory: (general)

Hannah Bond was an emo, all right. But a very psychopathic one who needed
some help...she obviously thought that she needed to fit in. The sicker thing is that
people applaud the waste of life. It's sad, but her parents made too much hype -
there are always going to be emos, kay? Like how there will always be trolls, there
will always be smart-asses, and there will always be wasps. G.O.I.

• My Chemical Romance are idiots to say they aren't emo. That would be like
the Clash saying they aren't punk, Horie Yui saying she doesn't sing pop, or me
saying I'm not a nerd. Don't be fool, just change your music into something worth
listening to.

• The Black Parade - it's like it's leaning onto Goth, so I was thinking,
'I'll give this a go, this might accidentally fall onto Goth's breasts and she'll
slap him..,' but no. It turns out this is sickening and hilarious simultaneously. Now
please, go and write something decent. I know you can if you try hard enough.

• They are Emo, dumbasses. Don't contend it.

• Emos are a waste of time, obviously. Just like wasps. I really hate wasps,
ya know? But they are allies with the emo. They are needed..and they know it. So. End
of, I geuss.

The Black Parade is a song/CD title! So it goes under MCR! Learn your
stuff

The Black Parade is a song/CD title!
I was saying that particular album/song/amv or whatever is really quite laughable, apart from it's suicidal qualities.
So it goes under MCR! Learn your stuff
I spend way too much time on this already, researching and things. Plz go get a life.

I know this is old stuff now, but this still bothers me.
You call yourself a "nerd" and yet, you're clearly not all that
intelligent.
You do not/did not know Hannah Bond. Obviously, niether did i, but
that leaves niether of us in any position to question or comment on
her mental state. Nobody "applauded" her death. Any sane person can
see that it's a really terrible waste of a life.
However, blaming music for it makes you clearly deluded. Can you
imagine what it might have felt like to a member of this band and be
blamed for someones suicide? You can't blame anyone or anything for
something as tragic as that, it's a serious accusation, and clearly
you don't have any respect for anyone involved: "her parents created
too much hype" They lost their daughter. I think they're allowed to
create a bit of "hype".

I'd just like to point out I wrote this when I was...13? Shit, where's
my life gone? Anyway, just like to point out that I can totally see
where you are coming from, this diary entry makes me seem like a
frickin' idiot. Srsly? "Goth's breasts?" Feels bad man.

>Implying either of our opinions matter
You call yourself a "nerd" and yet, you're clearly not all that intelligent.
Socially? I'm a retard. Intellectually, I can hold my own. Clearly someone has a bit of an insecurity.
You do not/did not know Hannah Bond. Obviously, niether did i, but that leaves niether of us in any position to question or comment on her mental state.
You spelled "neither" wrong, twice. And you needed to capitalise the "I". She killed herself because she was egged on by emo pals online. Online, On the Internet. You DO realise how dumb any conversations with people over the WWW are, right? Her parents said as much anyways.
Nobody "applauded" her death
Several emos commented on her Myspace after she killed herself, the gist of which was saying that "the Black Parade" was heaven, and generally implying that death was good.
Any sane person can see that it's a really terrible waste of a life.

I never blamed MCR, I blamed it on emo culture. HURR DURR.

Yep, that was a little insensitive. I'll give you that.

Hm. This is weird. I never actually expected you to reply.

Sorry about some of the stuff i said there, it just bothers me that
people don't take suicide seriously. Mental disorders are as serious
as cancer or any other disease and yet people act as though it's
nothing. Like you can blame a "culture" or a band. It's an illness.

I'd say i probably ought to have an insecurity about my intellectual
state when i can't even spell 'neither' or capitalise my 'i's but i
don't think that's entirely relevant.

You don't kill yourself because you've been 'egged on' by your 'emo
pals'. Like i said, it's an illness. Not that i'm defending those
people at all, i'm sure they were caught up in the whole "emo"
culture, but only as a fantasy. They were going through a hard time,
and death was an escape. A thought of getting away, but they weren't
all taking it seriously. They weren't all killing themselves,
and the ones that did clearly weren't well in the first place.

If the 'emo's' were saying she was going to 'the black parade' when
she was dead, then, so what? She clearly wasn't happy here. I highly
doubt any of them actually believed that she was going there, but it'd
be nice to think she was going somewhere she wanted to be, after all
she'd been through.

It's all chill man, but you came across as mega troll bait. Lucky I
don't troll much :P

Mental illness, I agree, is a worse problem than physical usually, as
when it's mental it's easier to misdiagnose and there's a way less
chance of recovery. However, I believe Hannah Bond didn't have an
illness, and was peer pressured into suicide. This is because before
she started hanging out with emos online, her parents said she was
very happy.

I'm pretty sure everyone's felt suicidal at some point, especially in
their teens. But no 13-year-old girl's going to get the idea to start
self-harming with razors on her own when she's perfectly happy. And
considering she explained that as an "emo initiation", it hints pretty
strongly at her linking emo and suicide.

And comparing cancer and depression, pretty good example.
Hanging out with smokers and start smoking cause of them, and you will
get lung/liver complications most likely.
Hanging out with emos and start cutting yourself, and you will most
likely kill yourself.

‹Hannahbeth ♥› says:   5 April 2011   522999
That's what her parents would say though, isn't it? Nobody wants to
believe that their kid is depressed or suicidal, because it looks like
they've done something wrong. That, and the fact that i'm sure that a
lot of things went on in her life that her parents won't have known
about.

Okay, yeah, i'm going to give you credit for that last comment because
it was quite a good comparison. I just think that there are a lot more
underlying things that the media weren't taking into account, and lot
of things that people were covering up to make a good story. They
shoulda been offering help to these kids, not isolating them.

Basically, songs about death and self-harm will not make a person feel
jolly.

True, but it's certainly not going to kill them.

IT didn't kill her - she killed herself.

This is very late but although I hate stereotypes..they exist..

Hannah Bond: I guess she was an emo, Killed herself for reason i have
no idea about. I have mates who have doen the same and i have also
felt like going dwn that path before. But never the less the daily
Mail decided to Target MCR and accuse them

My Chemical Romance : Are the best band ever and help soo many
teenagers with depression, do a lot of work with Samaritans etc. SHout
out suicide hotlines on stage and if you are going to make a comment
judging them at least do your homework. Gerard Way is a truly
inspirational person and Says so many times...suicide and self harm is
not an answer to anything.

Welcome To The Black Parade : The band and this album is not Emo, as
much as they have been called emo band before each album has a very
different sound..the first two (bullets and sweet revenge) are quite
raw and punk...I admit the black parade album is much darker and
"emoer" but I wouldnt lable it in that catogory! This song, along with
the all the album doesnt make me want to commit suicide..the whole
point of the album and song is to find a way out teh darkness...to get
yourself out of horrid times, push forward and rise above it.
Black parade- "we'll carry on"
Famous last words "I am not afraid to keep on living"
yes the songs may seem a bit..deathhyy but Gerard is a very theatricle
man and there is a story line to the album about the patient(cancer
man) and mother war..only A true fan would see these powerful and
positive messages of the album..Hannah was clealry not one of them if
she blamed MCR for her Suicide.

Emos: I have been labled as that in my early teenage years and what
ever i dotn give a shit. Im 17 now and dont give the time of day for
all the bullshit..If you wanna be "emo" go for it..but dont be a
pathetic twat who saysd they are emo because you sel;f harm and are
emotional because most people are emotional and a lot of people self
harm..more than you think!
