Hey kids! We've all heard of Zeus and Posiedon and all them, right?
Good! Now here's a tougher one... Before the Gods there was Kronos and the Titans.
Has anyone heard of them?
*scattered nods throughout audience*
Better then I expected. But would anyone like the hear the part of the myth that came
before the Titans?
*looks down, and the lights dim at a gesture*
*Spot light shines on me, and my head snaps up dramatically*
In the beginning... There was only a void.
A great timeless void in which there was naught but the Great Night bird, Nyx.
After eons and eons of nothing, Nyx laid an egg.
For eons and eons more, Nyx sat on the egg*, until at last, many millions of billions
of years later, life stirred within the egg.
*lights pop back on*
So, yeah, the egg shell gave birth to the Titans, and I'm not really sure where Nyx
scampered off too.
*Which seems really dedicated, but what else was there to sit on?
