Okay. I want to know the name of this one TV show that I watched when I was younger.
It was definately on somewhere in the 2000-2005 range, maybe even a little before
and/or after that as well. I can't remember the name, or the characters' names
either. I do remember it was on Adult Swim in the States (lol, I used to stay up late
and watch it) and it was one of the first anime shows I remember watching. Also,
later on it switched over to the normal Cartoon Network, because I remember not
having to stay up so late to watch it.
It was about a teen boy who saved the life of a little boy from getting hit by a bus
(or car, truck, etc) but lost his own life. He was then transported up to the spirit
world (or whatever it was called) and he met someone (who worked?) there, who told
him that he basically died for nothing, because the little boy would not have died if
he had gotten hit instead.
I'm a little unsure of what happened next: my memory's rather shaky. I remember that
he might have had to go after bad spirits (demons?) and that there was a girl he had
liked that he wanted to say something to, so he kept on trying to contact her in all
these different ways, like talking to her in her dreams. I also remember one episode
that was one of many that took place in a castle-like place, where they had to go
around and do something I can't remember. One of the first things that happened was
that a giant square rock fell one them. It was calculated so that all of them (he had
gotten more friends to travel with by then) could hold it up, but if one person left
it would crush the rest. Also, if they all tried to shift towards the edge, they
would get crushed. I forget how they solved that, but another episode that happened
in the same place was where they were fighting this other dude who was made of rocks,
but whenever they attacked him he would to back together. They realized that they
needed to crush the keystone, and the other parts wouldn't go back together (it
So anyone got any ideas? I tried checking the Wikipedia page on Adult Swim, but none
of the titles jogged my memory. Any help would be appreciated, as it's bugging the
crap out of me right now.
