I woke up today after the sun had set. I sauntered around the halls into some semblance of consciousness lit up my mind. It's night. The fresh air and cold stinging breeze breathes a curt burst of life into me. The sounds of syncopated beats guiding me forward. I center myself in front of my laptop as the fans whiz and the hard-drives begin to whirr. The sound of a soul being resurrected. A digital corpus being erected, something built with the code I wrote running through it's veins. The click clack of my symphonic typing a staccato introduction to my night's endeavor. I login to my machine and then I'm presented with a question, a prompt:

root~:#
I'm root, the master of my very own universe. The goal? To let my universe expand. To collect as many hashes (#) as I can, to traipse through switches, routers, and backbones. All the while surfing on an ocean of fiber-optic, coax, satellite amalgam. Be it through SSH, telnet, DNS, or HTTP. I'll find my way into you. Slowly consuming you inch by inch until your mine. root~:# nmap -Pn -v somewhere some place
