Everywhere I Go
The Day of Stan's Realization
"I hope it's going to be alright."
I watched Wendy and Rebecca wrestle.
Kenny turned to me. "Dude, should we tell someone?"
I shook my head. "Who the hell is going to believe five eleven-year-old's?"
"Eh." He looked back at the fight.
"You know this is getting us nowhere, right?" Kyle asked me.
I nodded. "Who cares, dude?" I replied. "Wendy's just fighting for the hell of it." I
"Wait." There was a short pause. "Rebecca said she had Ike. Wh-?"
"It was the bait to lure you in," Bebe interrupted. "We're all pretty clueless."
"Do I hear footsteps?" Kenny said in an alarmed voice.
"Wendy! Footsteps!" I called at her.
She stood up quickly, her face scratched and bruised. She quickly backed up towards
the back entrance/exit.
We stood up and followed her.
"I'll be back," she said in a sinister voice, but her look was cheerful.
"Are you okay, Wendy? Your face is pretty bruised," Bebe told her as they walked back
to her house.
"I fought for the hell of it."
I grinned at Kyle. "Told you," I mouthed.
"Of course I'm not." She smiled. "Bitch tried to pull a knife."
"What?!" I exclaimed. "Cheater!"
She nodded at me. "Whatever, though."
"What an attitude," laughed Kenny.
"I'm no superman!" Wendy sang along to the theme of her favorite show beside me.
I rolled my eyes, smling. Everyone was crashing at her place, since her parents were
in Hawaii and they left her alone (typical). Bebe slept in Wendy's bed, Kyle got the
guest room, I got the couch, and Kenny and Wendy both got sleeping bags.
Since Kyle and Bebe were already asleep and we were too awake, we decided to watch
"Dude, maybe we should get Cartman's help. He's really good at this stuff." Kenny
looked at me.
I merely shrugged. "This whole thing is confusing."
"I'm not taking it seriously," Wendy chimed. "But it's fun. Anyone want anything?"
I shook my head.
"Have any coffee? I want to stay up or something," Kenny told her.
"Okay." She stood up, brushing my hand as she did.
I felt my cheeks get hot. Oh, God, I thought. My blush doesn't glow in the dark, does
She disappeared in the kitchen, where a light turned on.
"So. You and Wendy together?" Kenny questioned.
I jumped. "What?!"
"Oh. You two broke up, eh? When? I didn't notice."
I scowled. "Six months ago."
I sensed Kenny's sudden alarm beside me. "Ah."
Even though I hated to admit it, it was true: Wendy and I were only on the same house
because of our friends.
Wendy came back and handed Kenny his cup of coffee. He nodded gratefully and took a
I still felt numb, so I didn't move.
Suddenly I opened my eyes at a weight on my shoulder. I turned my head very slowly.
I tried not to yell. Wendy was asleep on my shoulder, and Kenny was leaning on the
other side of the couch.
We must've fallen asleep watching that show.
Kyle and Bebe both jogged down the stairs, their eyes half-open.
"Oh!" Bebe exclaimed when her eyes saw Wendy and I. "Sorry, guys. What did we
"Nothing," I said, scowling. Like Wendy and I were actually DOING something. "We just
Bebe nodded and headed to the kitchen. Kyle sneakily walked over to Kenny and sat on
"AGH!" Kenny jumped up, causing Kyle to fall on the floor on his ass and howl with
"Mm?" Wendy opened her eyes and blinked several times.
Oh, shit, I thought.
I saw her eyes widen as she looked up at me.
"Oh my gosh!" She stood up and cupped her hands over her mouth. "I'm so sorry, Stan!
Did I hurt you?!"
I flushed and shook my head. "No! Did I hurt you?"
She shook her head. "I'm going to, um..." She quickly ran upstairs.
I stood up at the same time Kyle got up.
He wiped tears from his eyes. "Ha...Haha...That was funny...Dude, you should've seen
the look on your face," he told a scowling Kenny.
"Damn it, you Jew!" Kenny replied.
Kyle grinned. "And proud!"
"I'm getting Cartman. Today is NOT your day, Broflovski." He stomped out the door.
Kyle continued his triumphant grin. "I think so!"
"Rebecca is still after you and Bebe is in danger." I stuck my tongue out at him.
"Okay, maybe not." He frowned. "Damn."
The door slammed opened, and Kenny, despite his skinny look, was dragging Cartman,
who looked EXTREMELY pissed.
"Fatass! I was waiting for you!" Kyle grinned sinisterly.
Cartman crossed his arms. "Shut up, you fucking Jew!"
Wendy came down the stairs, looking confused at the large figure on the floor.
"Cartman," she greeted, confused.
"Huge Frickin' Hooters," Cartman replied. "The insane bitch."
She ran outside to retrieve the mail.
"Yeah, true that," Kenny agreed.
"I HEARD THAT, YOU POOR BASTARD!"
Kenny turned to the others. "An insane bitch with amazingly good hearing."
"KENNY!" Wendy yelled angrily.
"BABE!" Kenny replied.
Kenny looked at me. "I can't believe you two broke up."
I flushed with embarassment as the others (excluding Cartman) stared at me in
Wendy came back, holding up an opened envelope and a letter. "She wants to see Kyle.
Kyle frowned. "What?"
"Let him." Cartman stood up.
"What?!" Bebe exclaimed.
"Yeah, what are you thinking?!" Wendy added. "Then Rebecca will score Kyle and Bebe
will never have a chance!"
Bebe blushed. "You shut up!"
"Let him," Cartman repeated. "And then we'll bust in. Kyle can get information if he
acts like he's interested."
"Actually," I said. "That's not bad." I'm going to have to shoot myself later.
Wendy let out a sigh. "Yeah. She wants meet in the warehouse again."
"Again." Kenny shot a quick glance at everyone. "Convenient."
I leaned against the wall of the abandoned warehouse in the middle of
Kenny leaned against the wall, too, beside me. He stared straight ahead, his head
titled a bit to the left.
Bebe looked worriedly at the ground in front her, biting her thumb.
Cartman was scowling at no one in particular.
And Wendy was beside Kenny, staring at the sky idly.
We all had one thing on our mind: What were we to expect?
