I really like this story actually.
So it all starts with the Mother Goddess, who decided to create something Great and
She made the Earth, and as she sat upon the empty lifeless rock she had created,
began to laugh at how silly she had been, for thinking that creating something
Wonderful could be so simple.
From the sound of her laughter, the first man appeared, The Lord, and hearing her
laughter, and seeing a world incomplete without the equal contribution of a man, he
became Lord of the Dance. And dance he did, a lively jig for the joy of existing.
Wherever his foot came down arose a mountain, an ocean, a river, or plants and
Together, God and Goddess created the other Gods and Goddess' that would help them
oversee all of creation, and add to creation.
And so, concludes the tale, men and women are complete equals, for both are needed to
create life. Though their skills may be differnt, neigther is greater than the
You can see why I like this story! None of that girl power stuff from modern times,
and no male dominance that is so common in these stories.
And, admittedly, the laughter and dancing is rather fun.
