I asked my mother, "Why are you crying?" "Because I am a woman." She told me. "I
don't understand." I said. My mom just hugged me and said, "And you never will until
you get older."" Later I asked my father, "Why does mother seem to cry for no
reason?" "All woman cry for no reason." Was all my da could say. Later that day, I
was still wondering why woman cry. Finally I put a call to God. When God pick up the
phone, I asked, God why do woman cry so easily?"
"When I made a woman she had to be special. I made her shoulders stronge enough to
carry the world, but gentle enough to give comfort. I gave her an inner strength to
endure child birth, and the rejection that many times come from her children. I gave
her a hardness that allows her to keep going when everyone else gives up, and to take
care of her family through sickness and fatigue without complaining. I gave her the
sensitivity to love her children under any and all circumstances, even when her child
has hurt her very badly. This is the same sensitivity helps her to make a child's
boo-boo feel better and calms their fears. And finally, I gave her a tear to shead.
This is hers exclusively to use whenever, it is her only weakness... It's a tear of
mankind." "You see my child," said God," The beauty of a woman is not in the clothes
she wears, the figure she carries, or the way she combs her hair. The beauty of a
woman must be seen in her eyes, because that is the doorway to her heart, the place
where love resides."
