People that listen to the worst music in the world and are really stupid. They
all say they're straight-edge, and they don't know that say that is really fucking
stupid. They cry all the time and have lame pansy-ass mosh pits. The boys wear
eyeliner and girl pants ans die their hair black. They put x's around their names
(i.e. XxsarahxX) and the bands have stupid names (i.e. Black Love, Your Tears
Shattered My Heart). Emo kids cut themselves, but should do it to the point that they
all die because I hate them. ALL OF THEM are unique

^^ That Is What It Says Emo's Are.
Mother Fuckers. Thats Not Who We Are.
Yes. There Are Posers, And Wannabe's Who Say Their Depressed All The Time And Cut.
Well Not Every Emo Is A Poser. You Say If You Say Your Emo Your Not?
Thier Are Scene Kid. And Then There Are Emo Kids.

Scenes- Have The Scene Hair With Crazy Colors, But Unlike Emos They Wear Bright
Emos- Have Poofy Chopy Black or Short Spikey Hair, But Unlike Scenes They Wear Black
Or Dark Colored Cloths.

The Sterotype Everyone Gives Emos Is That All They Do Is Cut And Cry And Strive For
Attention. BUT Not All Emos Are Like That. The Ones That Strive Attention Are

Just trying To Explain... Thank Chu :3

Stereotypes are just things they WANT us to be.I'm Emo and I cut
myself,but because I have pain.Not for attention.If anything I don't
want attention.I love you for explaining to the motherfuckers who
THINK of Emos like this.

Peace(No peace because I'm alive)

ahh, but of course nobody actually wants to say that they're
attention-seeking. hence, the eternal conundrum, because "emos" will
defend themselves by saying they're "true emos" because they don't
want attention from anybody and they don't care what other people

the truth is, all stereotypes come from somewhere.
i'm willing to be money that if you're "emo", you probably are
straight-edge, you probably do have Xs in your username, you probably
do dye your hair black or style it short and spiky, you probably do
listen to bands with depressing names, you probably do wear dark
clothes, and you probably do cut yourself.
possibly, you checked yes to only half of those above. but there are
also people who checked yes to all of them and call themselves emo, or
people who checked the opposite ones you did and call themselves emo.
stereotypes don't appear out of thin air, contrary to popular belief;
they're based on fact.

lastly, if you have such a problem with the stereotype associated with
being "emo", then why do you call yourself "emo"? seems like you're
just asking to be stereotyped. one might almost say you're seeking
attention by getting so upset anything someone labels you as a name
you voluntarily label yourself.
