I’m three whole words away from something that could be,
I wish that I don’t have to speak but rather make you see,
Just how we,
You, could be.

This is is not a cliché,
there is no trick,
these are the word that I just cannot say,
catching in my throat making me sick,
why can't i just say what needs to be said?

Shaking now, i reach for you,
can this be what i have been waiting for?
me, we, here, now, you,
what is it that I am really waiting for?

i can see it in your eyes,
they avert and lower,
i sigh, he sighs,
he knows, i know,
time moves slower.

"Listen now, listen fast
I love you and there's no turning back,
i only wish for you to let me say this, that's all i ask,
i love you, i love you."
he looks aghast.

i look away, he moves away,
"I'm sorry."
I smile, but my eyes betray,
"I'm sorry."

woe to me and the lover who is not gay.
