Note: It's not what you think!
So yesterday I had music class. Our teacher told us all to get in a big circle, boy
girl boy girl. Then she counted us off (1 2 1 2 ect.) and told all the ones to take a
few steps forward and get in a smaller circle. Just my luck (my very very kind and
annoying luck XD) I was standing next to Jonathan. Then she told us to sit down, and
I felt a little weird sitting on the floor so close to him. And by close, I
mean, half a foot away from him. :D
So anyway, after she gave us this big speech about being cooperative and how she
wants this year to be different and how we have to work together and we need self
control and blah blah blah, she told us number ones to stand up. Then (we were boy
girl boy girl again) she started turning the people so that they were facing other
people, or the front, or sideways......(I'm not sure why tho, since she turned us
around again.) And I started freaking out, thinking, Oh my god. PLEASE let her NOT be
pairing us up and making us dance or something!
She told all the boys to face out and all the girls to face in. Then, much to our
astonishment, she said, "Ok, now hold hands." everyone started groaning and nobody
moved. I realized what this meant; I would have to hold hands with Jonathan! A few
kids started to slowly grab the hands of the person next to them, but neither me nor
Jonathan made a move. Then my teacher walked around the circle and took the kids'
hands and pretty much put them together. When she got to us she just kind of jammed
our hands together and we were fumbling around for a second. XD
I. THOUGHT. I. WAS. GOING. TO. DIE.
Then my teacher told the boys to slowly lean forward, (well, outward) while us girls
slowly leaned.....inside. And we had to trust that the people we were holding hands
with would, well, hold on so that we wouldn't fall! I got kind of worried because my
hands were sweaty, but then a bunch of other people said their hands were sweaty too.
And so.....after that was over I acted like everything was normal. which it basically
was. I mean, holding Jonathan's hand just felt like when you're holding the hand of
someone in church while you say the Our Father, only it was a tighter grip. Now, I
just look at my right hand and I feel like it's special, because it was held by
