Errr, I guess you can learn a lot about Somnus and Vier from their views, but if
you want to learn a lot about them their descriptions are probably in old pictures on
my old kupika account. |D Or ask Erika. The dialogue starts with Vier Quattuor, the
cynic among the 9 gods. He is talking to Somnus, the most benevolent of the gods.
(Faulenz) Cinque is the god that creates everything, Tikva (Shaysh) is the god of
"I am a man free of religion, unbound by the petty morals these fallible creatures
wrote in a book -- a book stolen from ME -- and in retrospect am more of a saint than
they can ever strive to be. They pass judgment as if they were gods themselves and
rally flocks of sheep to bolster their standing in the public eye! Wretched creatures
abound here and on Earth, dear Somnus. I find it ironic you and the others created,
what you all call, 'intelligible' life forms on the land claimed for Hell. If you
came here expecting me to turn a blind eye to the monstrosity humanity has unleashed
then get the fuck out of here. My intent is to make sure this world is completely
consumed by itself and if you won't help me in that conquest then I don't see why I
should even regard you as a fellow god. You're like the rest. Even you, who I thought
to be a blank slate of emotion, have fallen for the illusion that all beings deserve
a chance to live and be happy. The rest of you can eat your fucking bullshit, I'll be
sure to clean up once you're all gone~"
"It is a shame you feel that way. While you may think all the humans are monsters
with hasty natures, that is not true. You were once a reliable god as well as a man
with a heart. I know you remember the past, Vier Quattuor. While civilizations have
come and gone the people are still here and are forever expanding their reach. At one
point in time you even helped them. I do not know what has differed your original
purpose, but consider the reason why you were created in the first place. Guide these
people if they wrong themselves, lead them into a better future if you cannot fix the
past. The other gods do their duty to the world, as they were intended to. Do the
same as them."
"How can I guide imbeciles that don't even believe in our power, all these people
giving false credit to gods that don't even exist! Our work is not appreciated, there
is no reason why I should help them when it would be much easier and quicker to kill
them all! I'll lead them to their destruction and guide them to their original path
of being the scum of the universe. Out of all the creatures Cinque created, it seems
that humans are the most judgmental and dictating ones. I'm glad he gave them
separate tongues to speak in, for if they could all understand each other I would
have never realized my true purpose as a god!"
"There is already a god for the purpose that you speak of. He is nameless, faceless,
emotionless. You are none of those things. You have a name, a constant apperance, and
your emotions boil over with hate and disillusionment."
"So says the god that takes pity on the disfigured creatures of Cinque."
"I will not force you to see my way, but I won't hesitate to say your actions are
full of greed and selfishness as a powerful being."
"Well, those bastards are made in our image, no? They had to get it from someone,
which only strengthens my resolve in the fact that my original purpose was to bring
about the end of the world. Maybe you are the one full of greed and selfishness. You
want to save everyone because you have the ability to? And for what? So they
can destroy themselves? Oh no, I won't let that happen -- they'll think they can
decide the end of their own life too! Those who commit suicide end up in Limbus
anyway. Those who die naturally will end up in Limbus as well. And once they all do
their atonement they'll go to Hell. What is this place they call 'Heaven'? I spit
upon such nonsense. A place where everything is perfect and nothing ever goes wrong,
full of angels and desires of the heart!? Why, that would be called 'imagination'.
The only place remotely resembling this human idea of 'Heaven' would be Tikva's
garden, and even then it has its share of flowers that will never bloom."
"It would be best if we stop talking about this. The conversation only reinforces
your deep seated feelings. I will take my leave now. Until next time, Vier
"Every time I look at you and think of how you help them blindly my insides boil with
rage. I don't need a talk with you to reinforce my feelings. Until next time, Somnus
