"Come join me in my room, room, room, room!"
I wiggled a little bit, sweeping the room with a feather duster, jamming.
Mentally, I was younger than eight. Phsyically, I was nineteen. Or that's what my
husband told everybody. I was actually sixteen. Yes, I had a husband. The eighteen
year old Daniel Jordan--6'2 of pure, hot, white boy. Had a girl wanting more each and
"I celebrate and live my life sayin' ayy ohhh my gosh!" I stopped singing uprubtly
as I ran into a million dollar vase. I dove to the floor and caught it in time,
setting it back up right, my heart speeding frantically. I wiped at my brow and
grinned in relief, finishing my dusting before checking out the rest of the room. I
wasn't wife material, but our marriage was legal and official and I loved Miguel. As
much as a sixteen year old could love a boy.
I dropped the feather duster, tripping and running into the vase. I stuck my hands
out wildly as I face planted the ground, but my face stopped inches from the ground
and I was lifted back up. There was also no breaking sound from the vase. I stared
into Miguel's eyes. "Hey, Miggi," I said, grinning.
He sighed. "Kacie, you goof." He set me back on my feet and brushed his cool, soft
lips against my own. "Two more months." His voice was a breathy whisper on my neck.
I grinned, getting chills. "Oh yes. Can't wait."
Truth was, I was ready to leave, but I had to front until I could figure out how.
I didn't want to become his vampire. I didn't like him that much. He was nice and
everything, but he had an awful mean streak when he was hungry. I didn't want to be
bonded to him. But you don't tell them to a vampire. My only other choice in his eyes
is his killing me. And that one isn't as good to me.
So I figued if I can escape one night, then I can hide long enough to become
bonded to another vampire therefore becoming repungant to him.
It doesn't have to be sexually or loving-ly bonded.
"Ready for tonight?" he asked, kissing my on the cheek and grabbing my hands.
I resisted the urge to shudder and shiver, but instead I grinned at him. "Yeah.
Go get ready. Only fifteen more minutes."
He smiled and kissed me again.
When he was gone, I shuddered and went into my room to go change. Because
vampires were never late. Always early.
