I was there
When so many people died
When some lost loved ones
And so many cried

I was there
When the twin towers fell
When the world was turning
To a living hell

I was there
Next to that womans side
She just got news
That her son had died

I was there
When husbands lost wives
When police and firemen
Saved 20 lives

I was there
When the sky was black
When flight 92
Bravely fought back

I was there
When debris filled the skies
When people said
Their final good-byes

I was there
When shock filled us all
When they turned on the news
And repeatedly saw

What horror does
This world possess
When people kill
And cause distress

This is for them
For the ones who took part
Let them live forever
Inside our hearts
