So, I just got over a few months of confusion and I really want to come out to my
friends. I really want to tell them but I don't know how to bring up the subject.
Whenever a subject comes up and I think it would be a good time to come out, I get
nervous and chicken out. I wanted to tell them today but I have no idea how to bring
it up and I feel awkward just randomly saying it. I need some advice on this subject.
How should I tell them, or should I just answer the sexual orientation question on

I wish I could help you, but all the things I come up with have a
negative effect. Only you know how your friends are going to react?
Are they open-minded, and will say "Finally" when you tell them? Or
are they the type who think girls are lesbians because they have short
hair (so many people said that to me, it wasn't even funny), and then
procede to tell you why you're going to die a painful and miserable
death? Or somewhere in between?

Probably somewhere in between. A few of them wouldn't care having a
lesbian friend and a few of them would be uncomfortable. (My closest
friends are girls)
But please, tell my your advice, I'm sure it would help me and I'd
love to hear it.

Consider what your reason is for telling them. For me, when I came
out, it felt very important that I should 'come out' and tell people
at the time, but really it didn't matter and in fact made my life a
whole lot worse.

Might not be the same for you, but don't see it as something you
/have/ to do... especially if it might cause you a lot of strife

Thank you for your advice. It helps to have thoughts from someone who
went through the experience themselves. I don't think they'll have a
problem with it, it's just I want someone to know but I don't know
how to tell them

i'd be straight forward.
