The sun in my eyes,
I stare at my reflection.
Look at how far I've come,
With so many years done,
of wonder and rejection

My mind wonders,
As music fills my ears.
But no music is there,
I have no idea from where,
But somehow it covers up my fears.

I think of you,
Of how your eyes glisten.
And your strength beyond your years,
How you scare away my fears,
by how you just listen.

Clouds fill my mind,
As the music stops.
My fears return,
And my eyes feel a burn,
as one tear drops.

Its just another one of those days,
but 'one of those days' have been going on
for too long.
I will make the most of my life,
I don't have to belong,
but I will be strong.
