Hands together as I kneel
This is the time I express how I feel
"Now I lay me down to sleep"
Now this is where I stay to wheep
"I pray the lord my soul to keep"
And then from this you hear a peep
But as I lay down here on my bed
I realise something thats often said
How come you made me look like I do?
I'm not even good at anything no, not like you
How come you cursed me with this awful face
That shunned me from all embrace
How come i'm stuck here in hell
Were we all angels once that fell?
You stuck me with humor yes thats true
But a pretty face was to much for you?
My eyes are the beholder of so much sorrow
When people look into them they're afraid of tomorrow
My lips are big my nose aswell
I'm not pretty at all can't you tell?
So, lord.. whatever is watching over me
Great Grandma? Uncle Anthony?
Before I go to sleep and end this prayer
Just promise me by tomorrow.. Beauty will be there
