Once upon a midnight stroll, where Princess started to dance,
Beneath the trees and bright moonlight, Princess began to prance.
But during her jump from foot to foot, something caught her eye;
She stopped her spinning in the road and let out quite a cry!
With eyes so blue and skin so fair, short in height, dark black hair;
The girl screamed, couldn’t look, “that face is mine, that face you took!”
At her twin she kept a stare, her twin right back at her glared.
So odd was this connection, looking into her reflection.
Into the trees the Princess ran, from her newfound twin,
Until she came upon a man with quite a happy grin.
He looked her from her head to toes, over her fancy dress.
“Where’d you get those brand new clothes? Who do you want to impress?”
The Princess was puzzled, she was taken aback;
As the man stepped towards her, she prepared for attack.
He stopped his approach, but his eyes filled with pain.
Her eyes glanced upwards, as it started to rain.
He inquired to her, “Please tell me my dear,
Why do you run from me, and tense up in fear?”
She pursed her pouty lips, and narrowed her eyes,
When out came her twin, and the man jumped in surprise.
“Oh this can not be real, this must be a dream,
My girls, back together,” the joyful man screamed.
The girls exchanged glances, they had not a clue,
that they’d never been alone, but of them there’d been two!
“A poor man I’d been, when you both were first born;
well your mother and I, our hearts were so torn!
But in haste we gave you, away to the Queen.
Who’d no kids of her own, oh her smile had gleamed.”
The two twins embraced, and held on so tight;
The past was erased, and things were set right.
