We left the hotel and rode a bus to Sendai city, located in Miyagi perfecture. We
were given 5 hours of free time to explore the city, especially the historical spots
as well as buy some souvenirs. Me and my group first went to eat lunch. After that,
we went to Zuihouden, where Date Masamune's dead body rests. We were so tired
when we finally reached the top (there were 50 or so steps/stair).
We were lucky that the door to Date's gravesite was open because most of the time,
it's closed and you wouldn't get to see the statue inside. I tried taking pictures
but it was too dark. T_T My friend took a picture of the statue clearly, though. Our
next stop was the Sendai Castle. The stone gate was sooooo high and so cool! There
was this very tall tree too, and Date Masamune's statue. Umm...there was nothing much
there so let's skip. :P
Next was ANIMATE!! ZOMG!! There were lotsa manga, goodies and other anime-related
stuffs there! Ahh~ but I wasn't able to find "Nijiiro Joker". They said that it was
from 2005 so they don't have that manga. There also weren't any Flame of Recca
ones since it was from 1995. But I was able to buy Kaichou wa Maid-sama and
MAR. AND THEN, GUESS WHAT?! I bought this Lala magazine and it was announced that
Kaichou wa Maid-sama will have its own anime soon!! BWAHAHA!!
Err...sorry for fangirling. My non-otaku group member went out of Animate and just
waited for us outside because he "can't take the atmosphere" inside Animate!!
BAHAHA!! He said he was feeling ill while inside and he also told us that he can't
understand why we're so addicted with anime and manga. :P
We went to "Loft" next. Dunno, I really didn't buy anything there. It was so big, yet
we didn't stay there for more than 20 minutes, we also didn't go around it, we just
stayed in one booth. We went back to Sendai Station and walked around for a bit, then
went back to the bus. I was so tired since I'm carrying a quite heavy bagpack
and my feet hurt from all the walking and running we did.
Part 4 is here.
