This just happened to me.
Me: *attempting to scoop out frozen Nutella and glancing at the frozen chunks I've
managed to dig out* this looks like a murder scene!
Her: Like your face?
Her: *slaps back, conveniently missing my cheek and striking my nose*
Me: *cupping nose* Ow! You just punched me in the nose!
Her: You just slapped me, hard!
Me: Yeah, because you called me ugly.
Her: I was kidding, gosh.
I hate it when people do/say mean things and accompany it with a "no offense" or a
"lol" or a "just kidding".
No, because you tell me you're kidding does not make it okay. It's still
offensive, it's still not funny, and it still hurts.
Do people throw around insults like this all the time? Don't people know how hurtful
Yeah, I consider myself a confident person. I try to be comfortable with my body and
But, god, I hate how people think they can get away with saying those rude comments
and pass it off as playful banter.
I mean, there are only so many times you can be called ugly in one day before you
start to believe it.
