Mom and Dad are planning to buy me a guitar.
This'll be my first time buying something really big like that. :'D
They aren't very supportive of this, but I don't ask for a lot of things in life, so
they forgave me.

However, I honestly don't know what I should get. I've done quite a bit of research
on the subject, and I'm leaning towards an acoustic guitar with steel strings.
According to Mom, and a lot of my friends, an acoustic's a good guitar to start with.
I was faced with the choice between nylon (Spanish/Classical) and steel. At first, I
wanted nylon, but after reading up on it (and listening/trying out the guitars of my
friends/cousins) I think I like steel better. Nylon's a bit too soft for my taste,
but I might find something I like. >A<

But bahh! I'm not close friends with anyone who plays the guitar. >A< I really want
someone who has played a lot and knows something about tone and quality, but I doubt
I'll find anyone like that. I could always ask my cousin (who majors in piano in his
music course, but hey, he can play the guitar), but I doubt he'll find the time.

I'm on a budget. xD Haha, we both agreed that we won't buy anything cheapo. I guess,
mid-priced? :3 Something built for high humidity? xD BTW - in my opinion there's a
difference between good and high. xD

LOL SO IGNORE RANDOM GUITAR RANT. I just wasted a good few minutes of your

Hey, that's awesome. ;w; Personally, I find that
steel-stringed acoustics have a sharper and clearer, and brighter than
nylon. But nylon stringed guitars are also great to use. They still
have a really nice, full sound. Most acoustic guitars work well in
humidity too - make sure the wood is solid. As long as the temperature
doesn't keep changing from cold to hot frequently, your guitar should
be fine, though you might want to buy a bag or case for it. C:

Thanks Ella. But I seriously need to bring along a friend to
help me. ;AAA;
