Ok, I'm in this annoying exploratory class called Careers, where the gist of it is
to decide on what you want to do and pursue it.
Since I'm good at drawing, have a giant imagination (uh... dreams, for the most part
lol) and already ADORE manga, I want to become a manga artist. NOT for my only job;
I'll have a "real job" while periodically working on a manga and praying it's a hit.
( If it ends up being a hit, you'll probably see "J Rae" at the bottom. It's the
first letter of my first name and my middle name. They rhyme! Clever, no? )
Anyway, I've been trying to figure out how to pull off such a thing, and recently
I've been looking for ways to learn Japanese. (My stupid tiny school has only Spanish
as a language class. Damnit!) But something... epic.... popped up.
Of course being into manga, I have Shonen Jump. ( Even though I'm a girl, I H-A-T-E
Shojo Beat. (it's been discontinued anyway) because I just cannot stand mangas all
about love. I have one Shojo Beat manga. IT'S EVEN PRINTED IN PINK AND BLUE O_O.
Ya. I got this months Shonen Jump. Inside was a manga preview for a manga called
First off: It's from the creators of Death Note. HOOK LINE SINKER they got me.
Second: It's got some REALLY good artwork. Fwa!
Third: It's a story about this kid MY AGE wanting to be a MANGA ARTIST.
This may be the manga that will assist me in my own personal dreams!
I SHALL FOLLOW THIS MANGA EVEN IF IT KILLS ME.
note: This manga is hackin' hilarious. I was seriously laughing the entire time. A
total 360 from Death Note. I love these people.
another note: This manga makes multiple references to popular mangas. Including Death
Note itself, Dragon Ball Z, and One Piece.
